Family Fun Day

Join us for a Family Fun Day on Sunday, 22 March, in celebration of Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day on 25 March. This day is for all families and individuals with cerebral palsy, and it’s free to attend! We will have activities for the kids, refreshments and food, guest speakers, resources for families such as adaptive bikes and trikes, sports groups and much more. Come join us in a fun family afternoon to socialise and learn about further resources available for our community.

What to Expect?

✔ Free registration and attendance!
✔ Speaker panel featuring individuals with lived experience, sharing how they overcame challenges to excel in sports.
✔ Kid- and adult-friendly activities and events.
✔ Opportunities to meet and socialise with other families and adults with CP.
✔ Complimentary tea, coffee, and mini scones, plus other hot food options to enjoy.

Who should attend?

This event is for all families in Ireland who have a family member with cerebral palsy. Bring the whole family to enjoy an afternoon of fun activities for the kids, while parents and adults hear from inspiring speakers and connect with others in a relaxed, friendly setting. Speakers

James Bateman Irish Mens Cerebral Palsy National Team Player

James, from Ballylooby is on the Irish CP Team that played 6 matches away in the World Cup in 2024 and in 2025 year he played 5 matches away in the Euros. James has played 11 competitive games with the Team and scored 2 international goals. James will be travelling and taking part in the World Cup with the Team in October, 2026.

Finn Dempsey Frame Running Ireland

Finn is a leading advocate for the sport of frame running in Ireland and he secured a silver medal in the 60 metres event at the World Ability sport International Frame Running Cup 2024 in Denmark. After overcoming significant challenges including spinal fusion surgery and intensive physiotherapy, Finn competed against athletes from 30 different nations in Copenhagen, where he won his silver medal.
