Assistive Technology - Community Forum
Join us for our inaugural Assistive Technology event on Saturday 11 October. This event is for ALL adults and children with cerebral palsy and it's free to attend! We will have kids activities, a makers table (adapting toys and live printing 3D items), assistive equipment and communication items as well as switches and adapted gaming and computer equipment to check out. Hear from guest speakers who focus on assistive technology at both Enable Ireland and CRC, as well lived experience for adults and NCSE will have a table to answer questions on educational eligibilities and supports. This event is the first of its kind and we would love to see you!
What to Expect?

✔ Speaker panel and Q&A featuring clinical specialists in assistive technology and adults with lived experience.
✔ Live Q&A sessions with Childvision, NCSE accommodations, funding and entitlement with experts.
✔ Makers table adapting toys and switches with live adaptations happening on the day - see how you can adapt off the shelf toys.
✔ Adaptive Gaming Controllers, Mini Explorer, Exoskeleton demo, all interactive spaces happening on the day.
✔ Opportunities to meet and socialise with other families and adults with CP.
✔ Complimentary tea, coffee, and mini scones, plus other hot food options to enjoy.
✔ Assistive technology devices and equipment on display as well as paediatric exoskeleton suit demo.
Who should attend?
This event is for all adults and/or families in Ireland who have a family member with cerebral palsy. Bring the whole family to enjoy an afternoon of fun activities for the kids, while parents and adults learn about assistive technology access in Ireland, entitlements and connect with others in a relaxed, friendly setting.
