Jonathan McGrath Paralympian Swimmer

Jonathan joined the Irish Paralympic swim team in 2008 and competed at the 2010 World Championships and 2011 European Championships, Jonathan finished fifth in the worlds and eighth in the Europeans.

Jonathan has represented Ireland at multiple European and World Championships, including the 2019 World Para-Swimming Championships which were held in London. His most notable appearance was at the London 2012 Paralympic Games, as part of Team Ireland.

The NC Limerick clubman is a graduate of University of Limerick in Psychology, where he trains in the Swim Ireland High Performance Unit at UL.

He was born with cerebral palsy which affects both of his legs


James Murrihy Sports Inclusion Disability Officer with Clare Sports Partnership

Mr James Murrihy, Sports Inclusion Disability Officer with the Irish Sports Council, is a former member of the Athletes Commission of Paralympics Ireland and board member of People with Disabilities in Clare.

Selected as Athlete Representative for IFCPF, Mr Murrihy has enjoyed playing for the Ireland CP Football team from 1995, including three World Championships and two Paralympic Games before his final tournament in 2010.


Padraic Moran Development Manager Boccia Ireland

Padraic has a BA in Communication Studies from DCU and works as a Service Specialist for Sky Ireland. Through working with Sky he has become a Sky Sports Living for Sport Athlete mentor; this role allows him to be an active advocate for inclusive sport.

Padraic has been playing Boccia for the past 20 years. He has competed at two Paralympic Games (Beijing 2008 & London 2012) and took the title of World Champion in 2010. Padraic’s desire to see the sport reach its full potential along with his character, clear passion and determination together with his communication and persuasion skills will be influential in securing financial resources to allow Boccia grow in Ireland.

Gillette Children’s Healthcare Press and Mac Keith Press have recently published three new books on different subtypes of cerebral palsy as part of The Gillette Children’s Healthcare Series. Each book in the series provides a detailed medical explanation of the subtype, its evidence-based best-practice treatments, and includes the lived experience of families.

The below books have been subsidised in price by CPF. They are only available for purchase online with pick up in person at the family fun day. CPF cannot accept cash on the day of the event.
