Mauricio R. Delgado, M.D., FRCPC, FAAN Professor of Neurology and Neurotherapeutics at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center / Profesor de Neurología y Neuroterapia en “The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center”

Dr. Mauricio R. Delgado is a Professor of Neurology and Neurotherapeutics at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. He served as director of neurology at Scottish Rite for Children from 1990-2017. clinical and research interests on childhood motor disorders led him to establish specialized clinics in Cerebral Palsy, Holoprosencephaly and Hereditary Spastic Paraparesis. He was the co-chair of the steering committee of the National Institutes of Health Childhood Motor Disorders Task Force. He was the leading author of the 2010 AAN practice guidelines on pharmacological treatment of spasticity in children with cerebral palsy. He was the president of the AACPDM from 2019-2020. He has more than 100 peer reviewed publications and has served on the Editorial Boards of Journal of Child Neurology and DMCN.

Dr. Delgado received his medical degree from the University of Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico. He completed his training in pediatrics and neurology at the University of Ottawa in Ottawa, Canada. He received certification in neurology with special qualification in child neurology and neurophysiology from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Lane Wimberly, MD Orthopedic Director of the Cerebral Palsy Program, and the Medical Director of Movement Science at Scottish Rite for Children / Director ortopédico del Programa de Parálisis Cerebral y Director Médico de Ciencias del Movimiento en “Scottish Rite for Children”.

Lane Wimberly, M.D. is a full-time pediatric orthopedic surgeon, the orthopedic director of the cerebral palsy program, and the Medical Director of Movement Science at Scottish Rite for Children. He has the unique opportunity to practice medicine in a busy clinical environment with support for research and education. In addition to a general practice, he subspecializes in the orthopedic treatment of 2 specific pediatric populations: patients with cerebral palsy and patients with acquired or congenital limb deformities. He also provides orthopaedic trauma coverage at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas.

Dr. Wimberly graduated from The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD and received his medical degree from Baylor University College of Medicine in Houston, TX. He completed his internship in general surgery and residency in orthopaedic surgery at Georgetown University Hospital, Washington, D.C. Dr. Wimberly also completed a fellowship in pediatric orthopaedic surgery at Scottish Rite for Children in Dallas, TX.

Fabiola Reyes, MD Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician / Médico de medicina física y rehabilitación

Fabiola I. Reyes, M.D. is a pediatric rehabilitation medicine physician in the Neurology and Rehabilitation Medicine department at Scottish Rite for Children. She treats the motor control patient population. Her clinical interests include visual gait analysis, goal directed tone management, and multidisciplinary therapies to maximize function and participation in children affected with cerebral palsy and other physical disabilities.

Dr. Reyes earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas and received her medical degree from UT Southwestern Medical Center. She completed her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at New York Presbyterian Hospital- Columbia and Cornell, and a pediatric rehabilitation medicine fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston.

La Dra. Fabiola I. Reyes es médico de medicina física y rehabilitación en el departamento de neurología y rehabilitación física del “Scottish Rite for Children”. Veronica Meneses, MD Developmental Pediatrics / Pediatría del Desarrollo

Veronica Meneses, M.D. is a staff physician in the Pediatric Developmental Disabilities department at Scottish Rite for Children. Her clinical interests include conducting evaluations for autism in children with complex medical conditions and vision and hearing impairment, providing continuity of health care for children with spina bifida, and treating ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) in children with complex medical diagnoses.

Dr. Meneses received her medical degree at Cornell University, and completed her internship at The University of Texas – Houston and subsequent residency training in General Pediatrics at Loma Linda University in California. After residency, she became a Clinical Scholars Fellow for the Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars Program at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) where she earned a Master of Science in Health Services Research from the School of Public Health. She then completed a three-year fellowship in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, including certification in the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) program.

La Dra. Verónica Meneses es médico del personal en el departamento de incapacidades del desarrollo pediátrico del “Scottish Rite for Children”. Laurie Glader, MD Section Chief of the Division of Complex Health Care and Medical Director of the Comprehensive Cerebral Palsy Program

A graduate of Stanford University and UCLA School of Medicine, Dr. Glader completed her pediatric residency and fellowship in Behavioral and Developmental Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital. Dr. Glader served as the Outpatient Director of the Complex Care Service and as Co-Director of the Cerebral Palsy and Spasticity Center at BCH for many years. Dr. Glader has a research interest in how pediatricians can work with multi-disciplinary teams to enhance the lives of children with complex conditions.


Nathalie L. Maitre, MD, PhD Director of the NICU Follow-up Program and the Medical Director of NICU Developmental Therapies

Dr. Maitre is a board-certified neonatologist and research investigator with a focus on neurodevelopment in high-risk newborns and rehabilitation of long-term disabilities. Her research emphasizes the development of quantitative measures of neural function in infants to allow the rational design and testing of parent-based and technology-assisted strategies. A career development award from the NICHD allowed her to elucidate mechanisms through which the NICU environment contributes to cortical sensory processing differences in hospitalized neonates and their neurobehavioral outcomes.


Garey Noritz, MD Section and Division Chief of the Complex Health Care Program

Garey Noritz, MD is an Internist and Pediatrician at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. He is Professor of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University, and the Director of the Comprehensive Cerebral Palsy Program at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Noritz’s research interests include efforts to improve the early detection of young children with motor disorders, bone health in patients with disabilities, transition of children with disabilities to adult models of care, palliative medicine, and the respiratory care of patients with neuromuscular diseases.


Nathan Rosenberg, MD Assistant professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Ohio State University, Medical Director of the Rehabilitation Inpatient Consultation Service

Nathan Rosenberg is an assistant professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Ohio State University. His clinical practice is at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, where he specializes in the care of people with cerebral palsy. He is also the medical director of the rehabilitation inpatient consultation service. He shaves his head annually for charity and encourages you to challenge your care providers to do the same.
